Did you know that water heating is often the top energy end use in smaller ADUs or homes with a higher occupant density?
On April 27th, Passive House California is hosting a High Performance Window Panel. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what makes a window "high performance" and to meet some of your local window experts. Networking and beer are included, and the meeting will kick off with an introduction to Passive House. 3pm start, $10 for non-members, $5 for supporters and free for members. Held at the Pyramid Brewery in Berkeley.
See the PHCA website for more info. Hope to see you there!
High Performance Windows - A Panel of Experts
Join a lively panel discussion on high performance windows. We'll cover some basics, as well as dive into in-depth technical details. Some of the topics we'll explore include frame performance (e.g. what's the impact of a warm edge spacer?), glazing performance (e.g. balancing solar gains and u-value), certifications (e.g. what's the process and testing for PH certifications?) as well as practical questions around installation concerns, lead times, etc. Bring your burning questions as the panelists will spend a good portion of the time fielding questions from the audience.
Moderator: Craig Hollow | Sagan + Piechota Architecture
