Building Science Engineer (Jackson Hole)

Seeking a passionate engineering-minded professional with 4+ years post-academic experience in the building industry to help grow and support our services in our Jackson Hole, Wyoming office. You have an engineering or architecture degree and do everything you can to know buildings inside and out—in fact, you've spent time on construction sites and don't know how anyone could claim to be an effective consultant without having hands-on experience. You're a lifelong learner and are up for anything, including learning building science fundamentals and energy modeling, the ins and outs of green policy and programs, and the art of consulting.

Green Building Consultant (Berkeley)

Seeking a passionate HERS Rater with 6+ years post-academic experience in the residential multifamily building industry to help support and grow our services in Berkeley, California. You have an engineering or other technical degree and know buildings inside and out—in fact, you've spent countless hours on construction sites and don't know how anyone could claim to be an effective consultant without having field experience. You're highly experienced with GreenPoint Rated Multifamily and LEED for Homes Midrise, thrive on troubleshooting in the field and collaborating with colleagues, and are skilled with project management and design review.

Human-Centered Design Architect/Engineer (Berkeley or Jackson Hole)

Seeking someone who gets what Beyond Efficiency's name is all about, has 6+ years post-academic work experience aligned with this role and can hit the ground running in leading new work initiatives. You understand that people don't create buildings for the sake of efficiency; we create buildings in which to work, learn, play, teach, rejuvenate... and most importantly, live our lives. You are experienced with one or more of the following: thermal comfort analysis, shading/fenestration design and optimization for daylight and energy, design for autistic people or other sensory processing disorders, multi-generational design, wellness architecture, or active design and alliesthesia.
