Human-Centered Design Architect

Seeking someone who gets what Beyond Efficiency's name is all about, has 6+ years post-academic building industry experience and can hit the ground running in leading new work initiatives. You understand that people don't create buildings for the sake of efficiency; we create buildings in which to work, learn, play, teach, rejuvenate... and most importantly, live our lives. You are experienced with one or more of the following: thermal comfort analysis, shading/fenestration design and optimization for daylight and energy, design for autistic people or other sensory processing disorders, multi-generational design, wellness architecture, or active design and alliesthesia. [posted 5/7/18]

Building Energy + Systems Specialist

Seeking a hands-on person with 6+ years post-academic experience in the building industry who isn't afraid to get their steel-toed boots scuffed. You are experienced with one or more of the following: energy audits, energy modeling, commissioning (Cx), measurement and verification (M&V), or mechanical systems design. You thrive on troubleshooting in the field and collaborating with colleagues and are skilled with project management and design review. [posted 5/7/18]

Mechanical Engineer, Buildings

Seeking mechanical designer or engineer with 4+ years post-academic building engineering experience. You understand how buildings are put together and have found yourself educating colleagues about how passive design reduces heating and cooling loads. You have demonstrated creativity and technical excellence in providing mechanical and plumbing design for a variety of building types. You are also skilled with project management, design review and construction administration tasks. [posted 5/7/18]

Building Sustainability Consultant

Seeking a passionate green-minded professional with 2+ years post-academic experience in the building industry to help grow our new office in Jackson, Wyoming. You have an engineering or architecture degree or otherwise want to know buildings inside and out—in fact, you've spent time on construction sites and don't get how anyone could claim to be a rockstar consultant without having field experience. You're a lifelong learner and are up for anything, including learning building science fundamentals and energy modeling, the ins and outs of green building programs, and the art of consulting. [posted 5/7/18]
